Residents can safely and anonymously dispose unneeded and expired prescription drugs at National Drug Take Back Day events on Saturday, Oct. 24.

Offered by the Police Division and the federal Drug Enforcement Agency, the events will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at: 

Henrico Public Safety Building, 7721 E. Parham Road
Fairfield Area Library, 1401 N. Laburnum Ave.
Wegmans Short Pump, 12200 Wegmans Blvd.

Prescription medications that are old or unwanted are a public safety issue and can become a gateway to addiction, according to Police.
