Early voting for the November election starts tomorrow, Friday, September 18. All members of the US House of Representatives are up for election and a third of the US Senate. District 38 overlaps two congressional districts – you will see Democrats James Walkinshaw or Donald Beyer on your ballot. You can be sure that they are both fighting for our values and our ability to pay our bills and thrive in our communities. If you live in the Town of Herndon, you will also see town council seats on your ballot. There is also a Parks and Park Facilities bond issue question and a Community Health and Human Services Facilities bond issue question.
This year, all Virginia voters will have three Virginia Constitutional Amendments for consideration. I urge you to vote yes if you agree that we should have:
Freedom to decide for yourself about reproductive health with the advice and care from your doctor – not politicians;
Freedom to marry the person you love without government interference;
Freedom to vote and to be treated as a full-fledged citizen with the same rights and responsibilities as other Virginians after completing your incarceration when you return to the community.
Want to vote on the first day of early voting? Join me at THE JOY OF VOTING — LETS DO IT TOGETHER IN FAIRFAX September 18th from 10:30 to 11:30 am at the Fairfax County Government Center.
